One day, cards began to fall from the sky and were picked up by kids all over the world. The cards featured different characters, different environments, and different powers. Kids created a popular battle game not knowing that these cards actually corresponded to an alternate world called Vestroia. Kids from all over the world played with the cards, yet 6 kids stood out: Dan, Marucho, Runo, Shun, Julie and Alice. They named the monsters “Bakugans” and their elite team the “Bakugan Battle Brawlers”.

In Vestroia is a vast dimension comprised of 6 attribute worlds: Fire, Earth, Light, Darkness, Water and Wind. At the very centre of this universe there are two opposing energy cores; THE INFINITY CORE, the source of all positive energy and… THE SILENT CORE, the source of all negative energy. Throughout history, these two opposing forces had maintained the balance of equilibrium in Vestroia.

However, there was one rogue Bakugan who lusted for control, and schemed to seize all of the power for himself. His name was Naga and his mission was to penetrate the silent core and seize its power.

Meanwhile, back on Earth a scientist named Michael had been working on a dimension transportation device. During testing of the machine, an explosion sucked him in and led him to Vestroia where he discovered the two energy cores. While trying to return to earth, he was pulled in by the evil energy of the Silent Core and became the villain known as “Hal G”. While in Vestroia, Hal G encountered the Bakugan Naga, and the two made a deal - Hal G would give Naga the human world in exchange for his control over Vestroia!

Naga eventually succeeded in his goal of reaching the silent core and began to absorb its negative energy. However, the negative energy proved too much for Naga to handle. The negative energy exploded and the Infinity Core fell to earth. Vestroia erupted in pandemonium; the negative power overwhelming the minds and wills of the Bakugan who live there.

As Vestroia began to collapse, the human world was also affected. The “Infinity Core” and “the Silent Core” are interfering with one another and starting to run wild. Dan and his band of Battle Brawlers must find the Infinity Core and reunite it with the Silent Core to restore balance and restore peace throughout the universe!

Bakugan Characters:

Daniel “Dan” Kuso

Dan is the leader of the Bakugan Battle Brawlers. He’s a twelve year old boy who is always looking for adventure. Dan’s life revolves around Bakugan, with his greatest ambition to become the number one ranked Bakugan player in the world. He is the master of the power play and uses fire attributes in battle. Pyrus Drago is Dan’s guardian Bakugan. He is a gigantic dragon-like Bakugan. He is one of the most powerful species living in Vestroia and is able to evolve on his own. In battle, his power is to radiate intense heat from his body, dissolving everything around him.

Marucho Marukuro

Marucho is an eleven year old boy who is always studing the strategy of Bakugan. He is a walking encyclopedia of Bakugan. He bases his stategies on data analysis but can sometimes misjudge when making spur-of -the-moment decisions. Marucho is Dan’s buddy and helps Dan decide what is the best srtagey to use against an opponent. Marucho is a master of combination play, and uses water attributes in battle. Aquos Preyas is Marucho’s guardian. He is from Aquos and has the ability to change his molecular structure and take on the characteristics of each of the attributes: fire, earth, light, darkness, water and wind.

Runo Misaki

Runo is a twelve year old tomboy. She’s not your typical teenage girl. She loves playing Bakugan with the boys. Sometimes Runo get in the way of the other Battle Brawlers and she can also be a bit of a sore loser. In battle Runo uses light attributes. Haos Tigrerra is Runo’s guardian. She is from Haos. Inside her body is a gigantic blade, capable of cutting any substance in the human world. Tigrerra can also evolve.

Shun Kazami

Along with Dan, Shun created Bakugan and is a master of the game. Although Shun can be a loner, he is always willing to help his friends. Shun uses the wind attributes in battle. Ventus Skyress is Shun’s guardian. She is from Ventus and has a gigantic wing span and numerous long tails. At the tip of her tails there are sharp feathers. Ventus Skyress is clairvoyant and can see through objects. Her most unique attribute is the ability to resurrect.

Julie Makimoto

Julie is Dan’s number one fan. She can be a bit scattered, but she competes at Bakugan with the best of them! Julie has a bubbly, outgoing personality but in conversation she appears a little vacant. Julie lives in an isolated Bakugan Valley. She is a master of direct attacks and uses Earth attributes in battle. Subterra Gorem is Julies’ guardian. He is from Subterra and his entire body is composed of hard cell bodies, which gives him a very heavy body. While he is usually gentle and obedient, when he is angry no one but Julie can calm him down. Subterra Gorem can also evolve.

Alice Gehabich

Alice is a girl from Moscow. She sometimes plays Bakugan because she has the evil darkus in her control, but knows almost everything about it. Michael Gehabich is her grandfather, but after learning that her grandfather became Hal-G and works with Naga, she constantly worried about him. Alice usually just gives advice to the brawlers, instead of battling. Alice and Marucho are the 2 brawlers who mostly use strategy. However, unlike Marucho, Alice gives her strategies to the brawlers.

Masquerade

Masquerade is Dan’s main rival and a great Bakugan player. Masquerade is dangerous because he carries the doom card, allowing him to send the losing Bakugan to the Doom Dimension. Masquerade is teamed up with Hal-G. Their plan is to ensure that the dark side wins by drawing in all the negative energy and making Naga the supreme ruler in both Vestroia and Earth. Darkus Hydranoid is Masquerade’s guardian. He is slow in battle and his entire body is composed of a highly intelligent, independent cell structure. Masquerade has complete power over Hydranoid.

Michael

Michael, a researcher in his fifties, was the first to discover the portal between Vestroia and Earth. Michael was sucked up by the Silent Core and transformed into a megalomaniac scientist. After returning to earth as HAL-G, he enlisted Masquerade in an attempt to help him destroy all the other Bakugan.
