Bakugan has become one of the hottest toys in the line of anime character battle games of the year. Time Magazine and Newsday named it one of the top toys of 2008. Bakugan Battle Brawlers is a Japanese anime television series that debuted in 2007 in Japan. The show centers on the lives of creatures called “Bakugan” and the battle brawlers who possess them. It then debuted in Canada later that year, and in February 2008 in the US. The series then spawned a competitive card game, called Bakugan, which consists of metal cards, marbles, and spring-loaded miniature figures.
